With optimized setup-cost, the waste can be decreased by at least 2.5% (Without any operation strategies done. It can be even at least 5.0% with appropriate adjustment of the value stream) E.g. the plastic-film manufacturer produces 20.000 mt (metric tonnes) per year, with currently 7.5% waste.
- The waste can be recycled by 80% and costs of 290 EUR/mt
- The material used is LDPE, which costs 1.250 EUR/mt currently
- Waste: 20.000 mt * 7.5% = 1.500 mt
- Recycling: 1.500 mt * 80% * 290 EUR/mt = 348.000 EUR
- Real waste: 1.500 mt * 20% * 1.250 EUR/mt = 375.000 EUR
- Total cost of waste per year: 348 + 375 TEUR = 723.000 EUR
Saved with SuperIntelligence™: 723.000 EUR * 2.5%/7.5% = 241.000 EUR p.a.
